About Us

The 23rd Chingford Scout Group was originally registered in 1923 when it was once a part of the Epping Forest District, it gained its Chingford Group name in 1941 after the creation of a Chingford District. The Chingford District merged with Waltham Forest South to become Waltham Forest in 2019.

We are very fortunate to manage and own our Scout hut which we use for meetings, events and nights away. It is situated in a lovely location near Larkswood, Larkswood playing fields and Chingford Mount all of which we utilise for our programme of activities. We have a large hall and quiet outside space offering us the opportunity to organise a wide variety of events and programme ideas.
